Seaside homes to go for auction in Galway

Up to 30 residential properties are among the 35 lots to go under the hammer at O'Donnellan & Joyce's next auction on 17 May in Galway.

Guide prices range from €50,000 to €375,000. While the majority are located in the Galway region, there will also be properties for sale from Roscommon, Longford, Mayo and Athlone.

Accommodations likely to attract interest include 12 Cul an Ait, Barna, about five miles west of Galway City. This fully furbished four bedroom house is within walking distance of several amenities such as Barna Beach, village and local primary school. Its AMV is €215,000.

Also of note will be Crooklodge, located between the villages of Furbo and Barna in Co Galway.

This large property was once a well-known restaurant and has since been converted into a 12-bedroom home. With a guide price of €150,000, this house is in need of some refurbishment but has the potential to be transformed into an attractive coastal family home.

With unobstructed views of Galway Bay and the hills of North Clare, 20 Dalysfort Road, Salthill, is expected to attract attention. At €375,000, it has the highest guide price for the event.

For those looking for an apartment within minutes walk of Galway city centre, 1 Bridgewater Court, Fairhill Road Upper, City Centre, Galway is one option.

This two-bedroom apartment, situated on the ground floor, is close to the former fishing village of The Claddagh and has a guide price of €85,000.

In Garrafauns, Tuam, Co Galway, three unfinished houses on two acres will be auctioned together in one lot and their combined guide is €50,000.
