As the autumn property market hits peak there are just six "superhomes" currently for sale in the capital at the top end of the market while supply grows tighter.

With a combined worth of €42m - our 'super six' tick the best city addresses of Ailesbury Road, Killiney, Dalkey and Dartry and come with all the qualities you'd expect for abodes at the very top of the property ladder - behemoth demensions along with clifftop views, swimming pools, tennis courts and dramatic pillared entrance halls.

Top segment sales statistics suggest the buyers for Dublin homes priced over €5m will be over 45, male, likely to pay cash and that just under half of them are currently based abroad.

But for the rest of us, they are not even a Lotto winner's dream. With the average win currently standing at €1.9m, you'd be priced out of all of them.

So as the market reaches peak activity, here are Dublin's big six, in decreasing price order along with vital statistics attached, such as monthly mortgage repayments and annual property tax bill.
