The month of May looks set to be a busy auction month with as many as 26 residential properties due to be auctioned in Dublin and around the country.
Prices range from €80,000 to €2.1m. Eight of the houses are in Galway, four are in Co Meath and among the others are three each in counties Kilkenny and Wicklow.
In Dublin a five-bedroom bungalow known as Lake House, Claremont Rd, Howth will be auctioned on May 4.
Standing on 0.8 acres the 173sqm house has direct access to Burrow Beach and agents Lisney are guiding €700,000.
In Co Meath a 178.6sqm house on 1.1 acres at Navan Road, Kells, had been a residential property before it was converted into Teagasc offices. Agents Smith Harrington are guiding €250,000 for its auction on May 19.
On the same day a cottage on 0.25 acres at Collistown, Kilcloon, Maynooth, Co Meath will auction with a €120,000 guide and its agents Property Partners Brady are also guiding €280,000 for 30 acres of the same property.
On May 26, Smith Harrington will auction a three-bedroom stone house in need of refurbishment at Garlow Cross, Lismullen, Co Meath. The 10-acre property also includes a stone-built coach house and is guided at €300,000.
On May 31 the same agents will auction a 46-acre residential farm at Johnstown, Kilskeer, Kells. Its recently built four-bedroom house is in walk-in condition with eco smart home facilities and is guiding €800,000.
In Wicklow a four-bedroom farm house with a 40 acre equestrian centre will go for auction on May 20. Agents Knight Frank are guiding €2.1m for Sleighduff, Johnstown, Arklow.
In the same county on May 5, Model Farm, a 26-acre residential holding at Killalesh, Kiltegan, will go for auction in two lots.
Lot one is a three-bedroom house on eight acres and lot two is 18 acres. Kinsella Auctioneers are guiding €300,000.
Norths are guiding €300,00 for a three-bedroom semi at 25 Camaderry Rd, Bray which will be auctioned on May 24.
In Co Kilkenny two properties will be auctioned on May 6.
Agent Joseph Coogan is guiding €475,000 for San Antonio, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny City, a 12 bedroom B&B and €200,000 for The Creamery house, The Square, Castlecomer, a three-storey house with development potential.
On May 10 the castellated Glebe House, Knocktopher, will go for auction. This eight-bedroom house on nine acres needs refurbishment and Property Partners Mansfield are guiding €250,000.
On the same day a 55 acre Wexford farm, with a three bedroom house in need of modernisation, will be auctioned by Kinsella Estates who are guiding €440,000 for Ballyellen, Inch, Gorey, Co Wexford.
Near Durrow, Co Laois three properties will go for auction. Two of these are separate lots at Kilmyshall, Dunmore. Lot one is a dormer style residence on four acres with four bedrooms, two of them en suite. Coogan Auctioneers are guiding €395,000 for its auction on May 12. Lot two is an old stone lodge on 21 acres of agricultural land which is guiding €200,000.
Next day, May 13 a four-bedroom house, Clonageera cottage, Durrow, Co Laois, will be auctioned with its granny flat, seven stables and 1.8 acres and ERA Donohue is guiding €320,000.
In Co Longford a 280-acre residential farm will go for auction in five lots. Lot one is Clonwhelan House, Rathowen, a five-bedroom, 280sqm home with 29 acres which is guiding €400,000. Joint agents Murtagh Bros and Property Partners McDonnell are guiding €1.1m for the entire on May 6.
On May 18 Rathornan Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, a large family house on 18 acres, will be auctioned by Kehoe Auctioneers who are guiding €550,000.
On May 19 Property Partners Brady are guiding €80,000 for a semi-detached three-bedroom cottage at 278 Old Greenfield, in the university town of Maynooth, Co. Kildare. This doer-upper has a wide 0.15 acre site.
In Galway on May 20, O'Donnellan Joyce are auctioning eight houses and some of them could prove convenient holiday homes which can be let to students during the academic terms: 12 D'alton Drive, Dr. Mannix Road, Galway City has a €398,000 AMV; 115 Lower Salthill, a €250,000 AMV; 82 Churchfields, Lower Salthill, €220,000 AMV; 1 Illaunree Drive, Coolough Road, €190,000 AMV: 122 Wellpark Grove, €80,000 AMV; 24 St. Joseph's Ave, Henry St, €200,000 AMV. A cottage in Menlo Village is guiding €265,000; Corcullen House, €398,000; and Robin Hill, Corcullen a €725,000 AMV.
