The first phase of Castleway, an upmarket scheme of four-bed, two-storey detached family homes on Kinsealy Lane near Malahide Village, has sold out for all but one - a showhouse priced at €775,000.

Before 22 Castleway is snapped up, the developer of the scheme, Carroll Estates (Dublin) Ltd, plans to use the property to market Hazelbrook, a 40-unit development of four-bed detached and semi-detached homes it is building nearby, according to the selling agent.

Some of those new homes, scheduled to be completed in April or May, are already selling off the plans. The detached units will cost from €729,000, while the semi-detached versions will be priced from €550,000.

The remaining home at Castleway is pretty spacious, at 1,814 sq ft. It has a double-fronted exterior finished in red multi-stock brick and cream render with a pitched roof. The front door and window surrounds are a fashionable slate grey.
