These "top-end" homes, according to the agent, are selling strongly in what would be a mid to high-price range for the area.
Blackrock, Co Louth, is beside the sea, as is its Dublin namesake, but the houses here are at least half, if not a third of the price they would fetch in the capital's version.
Built by Shannon Homes, there are four-bedroom semi-detached and five-bed detached properties, along with a limited number of three-bedroom dormers available.
They start at €285,000 for the four-beds, rising to €395,000 for the five-beds. Located on the Golf Links Road, the views are pretty good here - residents to be have the vista of the Cooley Mountains set behind them as a backdrop. There are rail and bus links, and the M50 is around an hour away by car.
The largest of these A-rated homes measures 2,150 sq ft in size over three floors. In the showhouse, the top floor has been fitted out as a "chill-out area", a home office and bathroom. It could equally be a large bedroom or kids' zone or, indeed, the master bedroom. It is full height, however, so there's no crouching involved.
