Home hunters with a nose for a bargain might be in for some luck this week at the recently built Marella development in Enniscrone, Co Sligo.
With the developer gone into receivership, a range of three and four-bed holiday homes are now being offered for sale at significantly reduced prices on the instructions of the receiver.
Fit outs vary from a builder's finish to show-house condition and all 25 properties are selling as they are. Prices range from €110,000 to €165,000 depending on finish and size, and no reasonable offer will be refused.
Located within the grounds of The Diamond Coast, four-star, fully operational hotel, the homes are in a popular tourist area beside Enniscrone Links Golf Course and opposite Enniscrone beach.
There is no letting agreement in place with the hotel, but with more than 80 weddings here each year, there should be no shortage of demand for self-catering accommodation.
On offer are two types of house, including a single-storey model and double-storey home, all with extensive glazing designed to make the best of the natural sunlight.
Homes are spacious and well-laid out, ranging in size from 122 to 196sqm.
