Inside Niall Horan's €485k Mullingar mansion which boasts an outdoor pool
One Direction star Niall Horan has signed the deed on a mansion in his hometown of Mullingar, it has been reported.
The singer, who has just released his first solo album, has purchased a six-bedroom home in Westmeath, according to The Sunday Times.
The property was placed on the market in 2011 for €1.6m but according to the publication, was purchased by Horan for €465k this summer. The singer has also bought ten acres of land surrounding the home, which boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool and accompanying pool house.
Niall's new abode is located about 8km outside Mullingar and is described by Quillsen Estate Agents as a "substantial, palatial style" residence.
The home offers six reception rooms and six bedrooms, and is close to Belvedere House and Mullingar Golf Club, which will be handy for golf-mad Niall.
The home already offers privacy as it is tucked away behind wrought-iron gates but the boy band star will look to improve the security features of the property, considering he is now worth an estimated €44m.
Since finding fame on X Factor in 2010, the Slow Hands singer has purchased a slick London apartment, as well as a home in Hollywood reported to be worth €3.4m.
The singer has previously expressed a desire to spend more time in his hometown of Mullingar, where his mother Maura, and father Bobby are based.
Niall's brother Greg and his family are also based in Westmeath.
"I go home a couple of times a year. It gets kinda hectic around the house. I miss Ireland. I'd like to go there a lot more," he said last year.
