Inside Cate Blanchett’s €12.3m Australian mansion
Actress Cate Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton have placed their family home in Australia on the market ahead of their relocation to America.
The Academy Award winner purchased the Sydney home in 2005 and since then has extensively renovated it, doubling the house in size to include a huge outdoor swimming pool with rolling landscaped gardens complete with waterfront views.
The family home has now been placed on the Australian market for AUD$20m (€12.3m) as the couple prepare to temporarily move to Los Angeles to pursue their respective careers with their four children in tow.
The garden at Hunter’s Hill offers spectacular views of the nearby Tarban Creek, flickered with sailing boats, and is adorned with lilac blossom trees, a pool pavilion, a tennis court, a trampoline platform and a covered outdoor dining area.
The home itself is blessed with high ceilings, four large bedrooms and a master, three of which open up onto a verandah and solid oak floors run through the length of the dreamy family home.
A polished kitchen with a chef standard stainless steel island lies in the centre of the house finished with contrasting concrete floors.
The lush abode might be far away from Los Angeles, but it certainly is the Hollywood dream.
