The Mews

Stirling Park is a cul-de-sac discreetly tucked away off Orwell Road, and The Mews is discreetly tucked into the corner of it. It's a smallish pied-a-terre, measuring some 1,076 sq ft all on one floor, but it's one with plenty of character, albeit needing a little updating. A wrought-iron archway leads into a courtyard where you'll find one of two doors leading into the main living and dining room, triple-aspect and with a brick fireplace. There's a galley kitchen at one corner of the room, and at the far corner a door leading out to the two bedrooms (one en suite). Milltown Golf Club is 10 minutes' walk away.

The Stiles Road

Clontarf Golf Club is two kilometres by road from 1 The Stiles Road. And if you prefer a bigger ball, you'll find both Clontarf Rugby Club and Clontarf Cricket Club within five minutes' walk. Number 1 is at the northern end of The Stiles Road, near the junction with Howth Road and hence about 20 minutes on foot from Clontarf station. The place has been extended to 2,045 sq ft but could do with some modernising now. The ground floor has a reception room either side of the entrance hall, as well as a study, and L-shaped kitchen-diner, a playroom and utility. Upstairs are five bedrooms, one en suite.

28 Crannagh Road

The back garden of 28 Crannagh Road is over 100ft long, with a vast lawn, paving and ornamental shrubs and trees. Then, at the end of the garden, is the boundary of the Castle Golf Club, formerly part of the Rathfarnham Castle demesne. A garden that size would allow you to extend the house, although it's a sizeable enough 2,282 sq ft as it is. That includes a garage currently used for storage and opening from a utility room. The ground floor also has three reception rooms and an eat-in kitchen, as well as a study or guest bedroom. The other four bedrooms are upstairs, one with an en suite shower and a balcony.

38 Beaverbrook

As the crow flies, 38 Beaverbrook is less than 100 metres from the 18th hole at Beaverstown golf club - a very picturesque course built on the site of the old Fruitfield farm and still full of orchards. The house is also just a few hundred metres from the shores of the Rogerstown estuary, and about 25 minutes' walk from Donabate railway station. Built in the late 1990s, Number 38 is detached and stands at 2,650 sq ft with five first-floor bedrooms (one en suite). Downstairs there are four reception rooms along with an open-plan kitchen and family room with sliding doors to a lawned back garden.
