As its name suggests, 'Forge Cottage' at Church Street in Kilcock, Co Kildare, was reportedly once a village forge.

There's no evidence of that from the outside though, so unless the local shoeless horsemen find out the name of your house, they're unlikely to start banging on your door commissioning bits of metalwork.

Church Street is one of the principal commercial streets of Kilcock and it's about five minutes' walk from the railway station.
