Aficionados of park life will appreciate the five acres of parkland and woodland near Honeypark, the south county Dublin development where the Cosgrave Group is releasing 12 new four and five-bed houses.

The developer has already sold 185 properties at the development at Honeypark, which won the environment category at the SEAI 2013 Energy Awards. The latest additions are due to be completed between October and December.

Prices for the Ash type houses, as the most recent release is known, start at €670,000. The homes, off Glenageary Road Upper, have landscaped gardens, brick elevations, high ceilings in their living areas, and a total floor area of 2,200 sq ft.

The contemporary timber kitchens units are painted with a Haze finish and have Victoria Quartz worktops from Nolan Kitchens, as can be seen in the new showhouses. Shower enclosures are a standard feature in the bathrooms and ensuites, as is floor and wall tiling throughout.

Each of the gardens has a patio leading off from the living area and come with a garden house fitted with lights and sockets. There is a lockable rear access gate to the property.

The multi-million euro parkland has a feature lake and jetty, playgrounds, playing areas for tennis, basketball and football, garden seating, picnic areas, a tree-lined boulevard, and a piazza. Cosgrave is working with a wildlife trust to introduce native reed beds, frogs, native fish, moorhens and ducks to the greenbelt. There are also plans to incorporate a crèche.

Viewings of the showhouse began yesterday but it will open again today, between 1pm and 2pm, and at the weekend, between 2:30pm and 4pm.
