Energy efficiency a priority at The Forge
This new development of three-bedroom houses was just launched last week next to Lusk Village.
The first phase sees 10 houses coming on the market ranging in size from 104-123sqm, and costing from €254,950.
There are two house types available: the Anvil, a three-bed semi-detached, and the Horseshoe which is a corner house.
Both types have one en suite bedroom, a country-style fitted kitchen, fitted wardrobes, and phone and wireless capabilities.
The homes have a high energy efficiency rating (A3/B1), a natural gas central heating system, and solar powered hot water on tap. Outside, the houses have cobblelock drives to the front, and levelled and seeded back gardens with cobble patio areas too. Residents also have direct access to large open public spaces incorporating landscaped gardens and pathways, as well as playing areas.
A playground will be built in the later phase, while there is also cycle and pedestrian access to Lusk village and train station.
There are shops and schools in the village, while other facilities are available in nearby Swords, Rush and Skerries. The bus serves the city centre, and the M1 motorway is in easy reach, as is the airport.
The leisure harbour and sailing club in Skerries is also nearby, while a new Dublin Port is being planned for close to Balbriggan.
