DJ Carey and Sarah Newman's former €3m K Club home now for sale at €650k
The K Club property owned by hurling legend DJ Carey and his former partner, businesswoman Sarah Carey, is up for sale at a fifth of the price they paid for it.
The former couple are believed to have paid in the region of €3m for the property in 2005.
The bedroom, five bathroom home at 908 Lady Castle is one of two properties the couple bought in the K Club ten years ago. Lady Castle is an exclusive gated development set within the grounds of the prestigious K Club.
It is now up for sale at €650,000.
Hunters Estate Agent are looking after the sale.
In the blurb for the property, the agents describe the residence "overlooking the 18th tee is the the ideal turnkey prestige family home or holiday spot".
The property also contains a "generous kitchen", "maids scullery", guest cloakroom, and four en-suite double bedrooms.
Two K Club Country Club memberships are included with the sale of the property. The estate agents explain that "it is mandatory for owners to be members of the Country Club".
The current rate for men is €6,430 and for €3,215 for women. The agents say that joining fees at the K Club are expected to be reintroduced in the near future so these are considered an asset.
Membership will afford owners access to both courses in the K Club, K Spa & K Health and Fitness Club, River and Lake fishing on the Liffey, and much more.
DJ Carey and former 'Dragon's Den' star Sarah Newman split in early 2012 after some seven years together.
The couple's businesses had amassed major debts since the downturn.
In May 2011, AIB was awarded judgment of more than €9m against Ms Newman and Mr Carey.
