More than 200 house-hunters showed up at the end of August for the launch of Fairfield in the Co Meath commuter town of Dunshaughlin, some 34km from Dublin city centre.
As a result, all the three-bed semi-detached homes selling for €320,000 were booked that weekend, mostly by first-time buyers who had been renting in locations such as west Dublin. There are still six four-bed semis aimed at trader-uppers available at Fairfield, with prices ranging from €357,000 to €380,000 and sizes starting at 1,335 sq ft.
The two-storey, four-bed semis at the Kingscroft Developments scheme have brick facades and double-glazed UPVC windows. A slate canopy hangs over both the front bay window and a black front door that has glazing to one side.
Internally, there is a separate living room up front and an extended kitchen/diner to the rear. The latter space has a dual-aspect sunroom. The custom-made fitted kitchen is in a contemporary style.
On the first floor, there are three double bedrooms - one of which is en suite - as well as a single bedroom and a family bathroom. Each home comes with an A3 BER, with the help of solar panels for cheap hot water and PV panels.
Viewings at Fairfield will be held from 1pm to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
