80ft long gardens at Holsteiner Park
Holsteiner Park at Williamstown Stud, Clonee, Co Meath
Despite prices starting at €770,000, three of the five detached homes from the first phase of Holsteiner Park at Williamstown Stud near Clonee sold after launching last weekend.
The private gated-development of Georgian-style properties, situated on land that once belonged to the neighbouring stud, will eventually have 21 four and five-bed houses when it's finished. The equine theme is reflected in the names of the house styles, all of which are named after champion racehorses.
The Galileo is the largest style: it's a five-bed with a whopping floor space of 3,455 sq ft - excluding the 400 sq ft detached garage - and is priced from €895,000. The Camelot, another five-bed, is a tad smaller at 2,865 sq ft and costs from €775,000, while the four-bed, Frankel, measures 2,650 sq ft and is selling for €770,000.
All the four-beds in the first release have sold, leaving two homes available. Both are from the Camelot range, with one of those priced at €795,000 because it comes with a south-facing, slightly larger back garden.
The developer of the tree-lined estate is Bridgedale, the company behind the residential element of the new Marina Village Greystones. Most of the interested parties are from Castleknock and Lucan seeking bigger homes and gardens near the County Dublin border. Indeed, there's plenty of space at Holsteiner Park, with each house sitting on almost a third of an acre and featuring 80ft long landscaped gardens.
The exteriors are finished in a mix of select brick and nap render, with a granite plinth. There is also granite to the sills of the windows, which themselves are surrounded by raised reveals. There is a grand entrance to each home in the form of a porch with a large door. To the rear, French doors lead to a granite patio and a lawn secluded by extensive hedging and fencing.
Inside, there is underfloor heating to the ground floor and nine-foot ceiling-to-floor heights on both the ground and first floors. Gallagher Kitchens have supplied the handcrafted painted kitchens and shaker-style bedroom wardrobes. All the bathrooms are fitted with Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware.
The homes also have one standout interior feature that's in keeping with their equestrian surroundings - their own mudroom.
