The alarm on the phone goes off and even before you’re out of bed, you check your work email. A Teams meeting has been scheduled for 10am. The constant updates and notifications make you feel like a digital octopus is wrapping its tentacles around you.

The pinging continues all evening: WhatsApp groups, work colleagues checking in, an email outlining the next day’s schedule. Finally you reset the phone for an alarm call the next day to do it all over again.
