"What's meant for you won't pass you by..." is one of my favourite sayings.
I believe that it's true - although I don't know why or how it works. All that matters is that it helps me breathe a sigh of relief and let go. A little bit.
So often we compare ourselves to others and feel behind or lost. We might look at friends who are finding love, starting families, buying houses, doing well at work or being blessed with grandchildren, and wonder: "Why not me? When is it going to happen to me?"
But maybe, just maybe, if we just relax and trust the timing of our lives, we'd realise that it's all happening as it's meant to and that nothing good happens in a hurry.
And, actually, there's a not insignificant chance that the things we think we want are actually not the best things for us. Maybe the world has other things in store?
Even if there isn't such a thing as fate, or destiny, just the breathing and relaxing means that we can enjoy the ride, which is what it's all about.
