The hangover dream? Slick Londoners fork out up to €264 for miracle hangover cure
A rise in the number of people seeking vitamin drips to cure even the worst hangovers has been reported in the UK capital.
Hanging heads in London have been flocking towards a miracle vitamin drip which dramatically lessens hangover symptoms in minutes.
The desperately hungover are forking out up to €264 (£200) for the intravenous cure which is available in Light Touch Clinic in Surrey.
Dr Natalie Blakley said the service is mostly used by professionals who are under pressure to function the next day in a high pressure environment.
“There are a lot of people around here who can't afford to have a day off because of a hangover,” said Dr. Blakley speaking to ITV
“So I have been out to a lot of people's homes and hotel rooms to put up drips for them.”
“There's an expectation and pressure where these people have to go out to party.
She added: “Brokers in the City that make their money at night entertaining clients - it's these guys who ask for it the most.”
The vitamin drip is also used to boost the immune system of those suffering from colds or exhaustion.
Principal lecturer at London’s South Bank University Dr Adam Cunliffe is sceptical about the procedure which could be providing people with vitamins they don’t really need.
“The benefits for people who are ostensibly well, who just want to gain some kind of advantage in how they feel or to recover from a misspent weekend, are not clear,’ he said.
