Making questionable decisions is an essential part of being a teenager but one man has revealed that his love life will forever be haunted by a mistake he made when he was 16.

Lewis Flint (21) from Grimsby in the UK was coaxed by friends to etch a large image of Henry the Hoover on his genitals, which he says is impacting his ability to find a girlfriend.

The 21-year-old features on Channel 4’s new series of Bodyshockers and admitted that what was once a funny joke is now making him very self conscious to get naked.

“When I first got it done aged 16 I couldn’t stop getting it out, I got loads of attention and I was a bit of a local hero, I loved it,” he told the show.

“But I was with a girl recently and I liked her, things were going well until we got naked.

“When she saw it she said “what’s that? I am off!” I was gutted, I never thought I would regret my tattoo when I got it done.”

Lewis’ mother revealed that he isn’t surprised women are horrified by the tattoo and said it must be hard to take her son seriously.

“I can’t believe he has had the tattoo, it must be off putting for a lot of girls.

“You can’t take him seriously as it is ridiculous.”

On the latest series of the show Lewis decided to undergo laser tattoo removal to try and get his love life back on track.

“When I think about that night the girl walked out it does haunt me and puts me off showing it to other women in the future.

“I know laser removal is painful but never getting laid again would be more painful,” he said.

However after undergoing a session of tattoo removal the barman has decided he would rather live with his mistake.

“The thought of that going round near my balls is unbearable.

“I don’t know how people put up with 20 minutes of it. Laser is too painful for me to get rid of this tattoo, I am going to have to put up with it,” he said.
