Glass action: get your fill of water
Are you and your family drinking enough fluid? On warmer days, we need to drink around six to eight standard-sized glasses of water every day to stop us getting dehydrated. This is in addition to the fluid we get from the food we eat.
All non-alcoholic drinks count towards your daily intake, but water is a healthier choice. Try to avoid sugary soft and fizzy drinks that are high in added sugars and calories, and are also bad for teeth.
Even unsweetened fruit juice and smoothies are high in free sugar. So limit how much you drink to no more than one 150ml glass of fruit juice each day. Keep a bottle of water at your desk so you remember to drink water throughout the day and refill it often.
