Obesity. It's the modern epidemic that is the root cause of many health problems. To try to alleviate this, we look for reasons to get healthier. We try to give people reasons to get fitter, slimmer and healthier, coating the message in campaigns and articles.

The reality is that we can't coat it any longer, as our waistlines are expanding at such a rapid rate. If you want to live longer, healthier and happier, you need to get your waistline down. You need to reduce the amount of fat on your body.

All the soft skin that moves when you walk, run, skip, jump or shake - that's body fat. The more of this you have the unhealthier you will be. You will have joint issues; you will be at risk of dying younger; you will spend more days off work sick; have higher health costs and increase your risk of cardiovascular disease.

The message can't be any clearer: The quicker you act, the faster you can reverse all of the above. Why sugar-coat it?

The reality is very stark and can be altered with hard work and determination. Today is your day, your time, your chance.

Make one change

Boiling water with lemon first thing in the morning is one of the cheapest and best ways to improve your skin, digestion and overall stomach health. Try it for seven days and see just what a difference it can make.
