These bars are delicious and easy on the stomach.

Anyone who ever participates in any kind of sport will at some point get foot pain. A simple theory which has been explored for years is that your feet need the toes to be independent of each other to help with balance and flexibility. Another common problem is toenails that can cause cuts and blisters which the Toe Toe socks manage to eliminate by their design. The CoolMax® fabric gives you dryness in these ultra-low cut socks, complete with an arch support band and double-layered heel cuff.

HIT: Midweight fabric.

KNOCK: Low cut might not be everyone's taste. Other styles are also available.

For a while there has been a gap in the middle of the Garmin range with nothing available between the entry Forerunner 10 and the higher end 220. So the exciting new release of the Forerunner 15 takes off where the Forerunner 10 lacked in functions for the running enthusiast. You get a host of improvements including better battery life, foot pod and heart rate capabilities. Better still, the watch is equipped with a 'health monitor' that tracks your daily activity in the same way a fitness tracker would.

Pros: New range of colours and general appeal. Better battery life.

Cons: The foot pod addition is very expensive (around €80). Small screen.

Verdict: Value for money and enjoyable GPS sports watch with a colour to match almost every taste.

An alternative source of sports nutrition is a tasty, easy to eat chewy bar. With a similar taste to a standard cereal bar, the white chocolate chunks mixed with macadamia nuts make this a delicious treat with very resourceful ingredients. Hungry yet? Clif make a range of different flavours as well to capture everyone's tastebuds. Ingredients include a good source of protein, fibre and minerals.

Pros: Source of slow release energy which is very easy to consume.

Cons: None worth mentioning.

Verdict: One of the best bars that taste delicious and are easy on the stomach.
