Things to Do This Week
* POTTING up herbs and growing them indoors is a great way to maintain a supply of herbs such as thyme, rosemary and sage through the winter months. They will grow slowly, BUT they will grow – and they can also be planted out again in the spring.
Use small plants (about half a foot) which will grow happily in six-inch pots. Fill the pot about two-thirds of the way up. Create a well in the middle and place the plant in gently. Fill in with compost. Keep in a sunny location. Only water every two weeks or so and be careful not to over-water.
