Inspiral Raw Incan BBQ Protein Kale Chips, 30g, €2.99, 8/10
This tasty organic snack comprises air-dried green kale leaves coated in a smoky paprika and cashew nut sauce, with added Inca berry zing (whatever that is). 146 calories and 6.6g of protein per packet.
Eat Real Quinoa & Kale Puffs, White Cheddar Flavour, 40g, €1.50, 6/10
Those of us who still yearn for Cheesy Wotsits may derive some amount of comfort from this snack from the popular Eat Real range. Quinoa and kale make up only 3pc and 2pc of the ingredients respectively. Maize is the principal component with 'white cheddar seasoning' the next largest. 186 calories and 2g protein per packet.

Our testers were divided on these, with some saying they liked the soy and potato chips because they tasted the most like actual crisps of all the snacks we tested, while others complained about the synthetic taste. The ingredient list is long. 122 calories and 10.2g protein per packet.
