These cookies make a delicious gift and are a great way to get the kids involved in the Christmas cooking. For extra bite you can add some pistachios.

Makes 50, depending on size

You will need

300g white chocolate, chopped

200g butter

2 eggs

100g light muscovado sugar

175g golden caster sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

350g plain flour

1 tsp cinnamon

100g dried cranberries


Preheat oven to 180°C. Melt 250g of the white chocolate in a bowl over a pot of simmering hot water. Beat the butter, eggs, sugars and vanilla.

Stir in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and cranberries to make a stiff dough.

Using your hands, make small walnut-size balls and place on baking tray, keeping them well spaced out. Stud with the remaining chocolate chunks. Bake for 12 minutes.
