Irish cider is a delicious alternative – or addition – to the stout you'll drink on St Patrick's Day. Some of my favourite Irish cider producers use apples they grow themselves. Llewellyn's Orchard makes gorgeous cider called Double L Real Cider, which they sell at farmers' markets in Dublin, as well as the Drink Store and Wines on the Green. There is also Longueville House Artisan Cider, which uses the apples from their estate to make a lovely, medium-dry cider. Stonewell Irish Craft Cider is another good artisan producer, based in Cork.
