Welcome in the new year with some moreish morsels in one hand and a glass of bubbles or a fun 'mocktail' in the other.

I love looking to different cuisines for inspiration, borrowing condiments and spices to give ordinary ingredients the 'ish' factor -- you're not looking to recreate the 100pc authentic dish, but rather give a nod and a wink to that country's food culture.

I have some indispensable pantry pals, fresh friends and freezer treasures that I keep on hand which are equally useful for whipping up a sit-down dinner or party platters of nibbles.
