Facebook, TripAdvisor and Twitter are all modern ways of expressing an opinion.

We have become addicted to telling as many people as we can where we are, who we are with and what we are doing, all while waiting in angst for a reply or to be noticed.

Does it make us any happier? I'm not so sure that it does. The search for validation of our thoughts makes us crave it even more. It is an addiction that's just as detrimental as any other.

What do you think would happen if you didn't update your status or tell the world what you think? Guess what? It doesn't stop.

Try it for this week.

Abandon your social media and just focus on yourself, what you think and what you feel and not what other people think about what you think.
