Ireland’s love affair with ice cream is in full swing just on time for spring.

Delicious Irish ice cream meccas like Teddy’s, Scrumdiddly’s, Murphy’s, Gino’s – not to mention Irish dairy-free ice cream Nobo -  are getting ready for the booming summer market.

Wexford’s Scúp Gelato, which sells homemade Irish gelato, is no exception.

Inventing flavours like jaffa cake gelato, or champagne rhubarb and blood orange flavours for the more discerning palate, Scúpedoo has picked up quite a fanbase.

And its Jaffa Cake gelato appears to be proving quite a hit.

“Jaffa Cake gelato, always a winner. Orange gelato with biscuit crumble, orange coulis and dark chocolate…..Full moon, half moon, total eclipse,” Scúpedoo said on its Facebook page.

Now for the perfect sunny weekend for a roadtrip to Wexford...
