Gwynnie's favourite goes with the grain

Quinoa has gone mainstream -- and this before many people can even pronounce it.

Tesco Finest has teamed up with Nature's Best to create a tasty and healthful salad of quinoa and barley with sweet cranberries and walnuts. Quinoa, or "Gwynnie's grain" as it is also known as it was practically invented by Gwyneth Paltrow, has anti-ageing properties as demonstrated by the actress/chef herself so we know we're gonna be keen on this quinoa salad. And in case you're wondering, it's pronounced keenwa. This autumn Tesco relaunched its Finest range, with new products, a new look and even more emphasis on collaborating with local suppliers. The range includes rib eye steak produced by Hilton Meats, Drogheda, and ham produced by O'Brien's Fine Foods, Co. Kildare. The new Tesco Finest lemon curd yoghurt is pure pleasure in a pot, made in collaboration with Irish Yoghurts and using west Cork yoghurt and west Cork whipping cream. And as any Rebel County native will tell you, there is only one thing better than Cork yoghurt and whipping cream -- and that is west Cork yoghurt and whipping cream. www.tesco.ie
