Sure to make those red-eye flights that bit smoother, Aer Lingus has announced that premium cups of Java Republic coffee will be available on all short haul routes.

The Irish airline will be providing freshly brewed filter coffee from Ireland’s premier coffee roaster, Java Republic, from this month onwards.

The collaboration is the latest in a series of partnerships between Aer Lingus and popular home food and beverage brands, including Tayto, Jacobs and Cadburys.

The Java Republic coffees and speciality teas will be available on flights, including all European destinations, as part of the on board bia menu.

Recent additions to the in flight offerings include recipes from Irish chef Clodagh McKenna and the classic Tayto crisp sandwich.

“We’re delighted to partner with Java Republic to offer Aer Lingus guests the very best of Irish on board,” Aer Lingus’ Chief Commercial Officer Mike Rutter said.   “We continue to develop our bia menu to ensure we’re meeting our guests’ needs and working with local Irish suppliers is very much rooted in our overall retail strategy.”
