Weekend Eats: Your foodie guide to this weekend (November 28 - 30)
The weekend is the best time to indulge yourself in all your favourite things.
From scrumptious supper clubs destined to impress to a prance around a festive Merrion Square there's so much to do this weekend.
South William Street Winter Supper Club
Where: 41 South William Street, Dublin 2
When: November 28 and December 5, 12, 19
Salt of the Earth will kick off their unique supper this evening but you won’t find Christmas favourites like turkey or ham on the menu. Instead the pop-up will be inspired by other great feasting times like Hannukah, Eid and Seeder. Dishes like Lebanese roast chicken and Kataifi wrapped spice fish are just two of the interesting dishes sitting cosy on the sample menu and for €38 it seems like a great alternative to the usual for a gathering with old friends.
For bookings email: firstname.lastname@example.org or to book tickets on Eventbrite.
Where: Butlers Chocolate Experience, Dublin
When: November 29 (1pm-3.30pm)
Christmas is most certainly a time to treat yourself and chocolate is high up on the list of priorities. Chef Yvonne Carty is holding a chocolate demonstration where she’ll be showcasing delicious chocolate recipes to please the crowds during Christmas. She’ll be dishing out top tips on tempering while guests sip prosecco. The afternoon is a perfect activity for your sweet tooth and will set you back €40.
Where: MVP 29 Upper Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8
The week long festival Tipple Town comes to an end on Sunday night but before then there is still an opportunity to soak up some much desired knowledge from inspiring mixologists. On Friday, London’s Trailer Happiness will take over MVP, hosting a pop up bar on the top floor from 7PM. On Sunday, the festival will hold a wrap party with an abundance of cocktails in The Twisted Pepper with free admission. The evening also promises ping pong, craft beer and music from Sim Simma DJs.
