The country went crazy when a crisp sandwich café launched in Belfast last month and now Dublin is set to get a taste of the magic.

Tayto will open the doors of a crisp sandwich pop-up in the capital this March catering for those whose mouth water at the thought of a retro sandwich.

On the menu in the Wicklow Street shop will be four sandwiches each showcasing a classic Tayto flavour. Punters will be able to choose from the Cheese and Onion Classic, the Salt and Vinegar Sarnie, the Smokey Bacon Butty and a Prawn Cocktail treat.

The scoff-worthy sambos will set you back €2 and Tayto will donate €1 from each sale to the Dublin Simon Community.

Sam McGuinness from Dublin Simon Community said: “As we continue to see an increase of people turning to us for outreach, accommodation, recovery and prevention services we are delighted to have the support of Tayto.
