Pokemon-shaped burgers are now a thing... and they're almost too cute to eat
Now you can catch Pokemon and store them in your belly.
Pokemon trainers can now find the perfect snack in the shape of their favourite little monsters. But the bad news is they'll have to travel all the way to Australia to catch them.
Sydney pop-up burger restaurant Down-N-Out (a homage to Californian burger chain In-N-Out) have created a limited edition range of Pokemon-shaped burgers.
They dreamt up what each Pokemon's personality would "taste" like and created burgers with flavours and toppings to match, cashing in on the current Pokemon Go craze.
"The flavours and toppings match the Pokemon's style, character and colour. The Charmander is a little bit spicy, there's kind of a volcanic cheese dripping off it," Ben Kagan, creative director of Hashtag Burgers, told Mashable Australia.
You can't choose which Pokemon you want to catch for dinner because each burger is distributed at random. So far they've got Bulbasaur, Pikachu, and Charmandar.
The three burgers took Chef Seb four weeks of trail and error to perfect: "We've tried many different ways of getting them to look amazing," Kagan told BuzzFeed. "At one stage we were experimenting with a hot-iron brand and then we tried printing the faces onto rice paper."
They even used burnt Doritos for Pikachu's ears... genius.
We imagine trainers from Ireland will have plenty of time to work up an appetite on the 26-hour flight to Sydney.
