A host of Irish celebrities including RTE favourites Marty Whelan and Brent Pope will completely take over a busy Dublin restaurant in aid of Make a Wish foundation next month.

Well known Irish personalities including Eurovision winner Linda Martin, author Cathy Kelly and RTE news presenter Eileen Dunne will join forces to attempt to run Ouzo’s Restaurant in Blackrock for one night only.

The celebrities will take on all of the restaurant roles from chef to waitress with Marty Whelan posing as maître d' on the night.

Restaurant owner Padraic Hanley is far from apprehensive and instead is eager to see how the Irish celebrities fare on the night.

“It’s great to see so many Irish stars making time to help such a worthwhile cause as Make-A-Wish,” he said.

“People are already asking us about the ticket arrangements and we expect them to fly out the door now that they’re on sale! We’d urge anyone who can to come along and enjoy what should be a fantastic night.”

All proceeds from the night will be donated to Make a Wish Foundation and tickets cost €75 for the seafood and canapés menu or €150 for a four course meal.

The evening takes place on March 9 and tickets are available from Make-A-Wish on 01 205 2012 or email
