Doughnut wedding cake from Irish company is the stuff of dreams
Every couple strives for those special touches that will make their wedding stand out from the crowd and this super cool wedding cake alternative is sure to do just that.
Dublin company Rolling Donut has been catering for Irish weddings throughout the past few months, posting a dreamy photograph of the party piece on their social channels today.
The idea of a doughnut wedding cake has been lapped up by their customers and the company said that wedding guests are really responding to the non-traditional alternative.
“We usually do a mixture of our most popular flavours but of course this is customisable,” said Rolling Donut’s Julie Baker.
“We are definitely getting a lot more enquires now as the stand has proved to be so popular, so we're hoping to do a lot more weddings in the coming months,” she said.
The tower of mini-doughnuts is completely customisable, but the Marketing and PR Manager said the salted caramel and pistachio doughnut is their top selling treat of all time.
The cost of the cake depends on the number of guests, with each mini doughnut costing €2, not including delivery or set-up charge.
“The package around the doughnuts really varies as every couple is different and some want to collect or set up themselves and it depends where the venue is if we are delivering. So we work all that out depending on what each couple needs. I think the beauty of what we offer really is that it’s flexible.”
The offering is mainly focused on venues within a 50km radius of Dublin city centre, but the company can travel further afield for an extra fee.
