Masterchef’s Oliver Dunne, L’Ecrivain’s Derry Clarke and RTÉ’s Kevin Dundon are among the stars of the ‘Walk in My Shoes’ 2015 charity calendar.
Twelve of the country’s most famous and celebrated chefs have embraced their fun side for a new charity calendar.
The ‘Walk in My Shoes’ 2015 calendar has taken the chefs out of the kitchen and into funky shoes to promote positive mental health.
The calendar, which supports the St Patrick’s Support & Information Line, also features 12 delicious recipes and 12 inspirational quotes from chefs such as Graham Neville (Residence), Ross Lewis (Chapter One), Aaron Carroll (Bon Appétit), Kieran Glennon (Patrick Guilbauld) and Kevin Thornton (Thornton’s Restaurant).
‘Walk in My Shoes’ is a campaign aiming to raise funds to provide mental health services, support and information to vulnerable young adults throughout Ireland.
The calendar was launched at an exclusive luncheon in top Temple Bar eatery Cleaver East.
Proprietor Oliver Dunne, who initiated the project said, “As chefs, we have hectic schedules; we all have good days, tough days and bad days. We want young people to know that we’re all the same, we all have mental health, we all have different days but if we can’t cope, then we need to ask for help.”
The calendar, photographed by Barry Mc Call and styled by Courtney Smith, is available online or at Fitzpatrick’s Shoes on Grafton St for €12.
