Cadbury confirm a vegemite flavour chocolate bar is in the pipeline
The confectionery brand's newest combination is the last thing you would expect.
Cadbury Australia has confirmed that it is launching a vegemite infused chocolate bar, which will come into circulation on June 1st.
Announcing the new variety of Dairy Milk on their Twitter feed, Cabury revealed a video which stated, "Yes. It’s real. Yes. The rumours were true. Yes. It’s available on June 1st (although you may see it sooner). Yes. It’s surprisingly delicious."
Vegemite is one of the most popular foods in Australia, but still divides opinion in the same way as Marmite does in the UK.
The product, invented in 1922, is a paste made from leftover brewers' yeast which is flavoured with various vegetables and spices.
As thevine.com.au so eloquently puts it, "Vegemite is a load of sh*t. A totally heinous blend of sweat stained socks, petrol, wasabi, live ants, and stale bread, melted together with the texture of drying phlegm and the colour of soy sauce."
Cadbury to introduce Vegemite chocolate. Finally, something for my salt tooth.

The news has certainly had a mixed response from chocolate fans.
Honestly though, who is going to buy a vegemite flavoured cadbury chocolate block?
