Elaine and Hannah, the Improper Butter girls

If you're a fan of the Irish Dragons' Den, you may already know that butter wouldn't melt in the mouths of Elaine and Hannah, the Improper Butter girls. They left UCD armed with a passion for great food and soon created Improper Butter, a range of flavoured butters. Their range includes sought-after classics like Real Garlic Butter but the girls have also created delicious blends like Garlic, Chilli and Basil and, my personal favourite, Cashel Blue. Slathered on a baked potato or tossed through a bowl of steaming prawns, a knob of Improper Butter truly makes any meal a feast so it's no surprise they received a Great Taste Award this year. Check out their website for a list of stockists and make sure there's a pack of Improper Butter in your shopping basket this week.

Sister Sadie

Sister Sadie is the newly opened younger sibling of the hugely popular Brother Hubbard Cafe. Like most siblings, there are similarities. Similarities such as stylish decor, an inviting atmosphere and creative, delicious food. But as their owners say, Sister Sadie is fast developing a personality all of her own. With decor created by the talented DesignGoat and food sourced from local food producers throughout the city, if Sister Sadie is half as popular as her big brother, she will be a rip-roaring success!
