Feast of food at Dublin's Fiestaval

Get ready now for the inaugural Fiestaval - Temple Bar Food Festival which will take place in Meeting House Square on Sunday August 2 and Monday August 3, between 12 noon to 6pm, when you can dive in and explore local culinary treats.


GAZE International LGBT Film Festival will run from Thursday July 30 to Monday August 3 at the Lighthouse Cinema Smithfield. A highlight will be Dressed As A Girl, following the lives of a sextet of alternative drag superstars in London's East End.


The Life and Legacy of George Boole 1815 - 2015, an exhibition of the work of the first Professor of Mathematics at Queens College Cork (now known as UCC) at UCC Library, is the first time Boole's own copy of his influential book An Investigation of the Laws of Thought (1854) will be available for public viewing.


Suitcases: A Clock or a Crown? is the first in a series of bonkers magical historical travel adventures set in various capital cities for children aged between eight and 12, and by author Caroline Logue and illustrated by Sarah Bowie. It is published by Little Island, and priced €7.99.


Spraoi International Street Arts Festival 2015 in Waterford City will run from Friday July 31 to Sunday August 2, when artists from all around the world, including Cirque Democratique De La Belgique from Belgium, and Mr Mustache from Italy will perform for free. The Spraoi Festival Parade takes place on Sunday August 2 at 9.30 p.m.
