A couple who made the headlines last week for a video in which they announced their pregnancy have suffered a miscarriage.

Video bloggers Sam and Nia announced their pregnancy in a Youtube video which went viral online but have revealed that they lost their baby just one day later.

In the original video, Sam told his wife she was pregnant after sneaking into the bathroom after her for a urine sample and the clip received over 10.5m views on Youtube.

However in a new video posted today, the couple spoke about their miscarriage.

“It just, bam, it just hit us like a bomb,” Nia says in the video.

“I never ever ever knew that women felt that way.”

“And those of you who have experienced miscarriage before, I can relate now. I have felt my womb empty out. I never, ever, ever knew that women felt that way.

“I just want to say, too, that maybe there’s someone out there that’s going through this with us. The Bible says to weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn, and I am mourning with those of you who are feeling this.”

Speaking in the video Sam said: “I hope this video continues to be a way for God to shine his light to the world through us. This is a time when the world needs that light. This baby came along and made us happier than we remember. She made the biggest difference in our lives.”

“Through this tragedy we’ve become closer as a family.”
