A mum-to-be visiting a British zoo attracted the attention of an surprising well-wisher when a female Orang-utan puckered up to kiss her belly through the glass.

Maisie Knight and her Jay Clarke were shocked when the broody ape became fixated on her pregnant bump through the glass as Colchester Zoo laying a kiss on her.

The Orang-utan ran her fingers along the bump as Maisie, who is 37 weeks pregnant, pressed her self against the barrier.

“Me and my 37 week pregnant partner visited Colchester zoo and was amazed when we visited Rajang the orang-utan,” said Maisie’s partner Jay.

“She is heavily pregnant and before long she was trying to kiss my partner’s belly through the glass,” he said.

Maisie’s cheeky husband then put his tummy up to the glass but the ape showed little interest.

“I put my belly to the glass and got a dirty look and when I placed my hand on he tried to push my hand away,” he wrote on Youtube.
