The memories are hazy but highly emotional. Broken nights, blurry days. The months, even years, with small children and not enough sleep, and the way that can come together to negatively affect every part of your life. I am years out of this phase by now, but as I recall, there was a kind of ‘suck it up’ mentality; a feeling of ‘that’s life with babies, get on with it’ at the time.
