Most parents want their children to be resilient. We want them to be able to cope with setbacks, without crumbling. We want them to face challenges with confidence and a sense of purpose. We want our children to bounce back from adversity. Even though we want these things for our children, many of us may need to ask ourselves, critically, are we creating the environment or the opportunities for our children to learn any of these skills?
