Warning as Boots recalls two baby soothers over potential fault

Pharmacy chain Boots has recalled two of its baby soothers due to a potential manufacturing fault.

A spokesperson for the chain said it discovered the potential fault in two Boots Baby Soothers which might cause a small tear in the silicone teat.

"As a precautionary measure we are recalling these two Boots Baby Soothers and we are asking customers to return these products to our stores immediately for a refund or replacement with a similar item," a spokesperson said.

“The health and safety of our customers and patients is always our highest priority."

The products Boots would like customers to return as a precaution are:

•        Boots Baby Airflow Soother 0-6 months

•        Boots Baby Airflow Soother 6 months.

"We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and would like to offer our reassurances that as soon as the fault was identified as part of our quality control process we immediately removed these lines from sale. No other products are affected," the spokesperson said.
