Tayto, but not as you know it
Tayto Park is set to re-open for its fifth season on Thursday, 26 March, bigger and better than ever before, with a range of new additions. The biggest of these is the first ever inverted wooden rollercoaster in Ireland. Construction is being completed on the project at present, and the rollercoaster should be ready to open by the summer. Over 800,000kg of yellow pine wood have been transported from the US to create a rollercoaster that will reach over 32 metres with a drop zone of 29 metres. Seven other new attractions will be opened in the park in the next few months, including Air Race, Rotator, Sky Tower, a three-carriage road train, a steam train track ride and the only 5D cinema in Ireland. A Dinosaurs Alive attraction will also be added to the animal enclosure. Some €26 million has been invested in the park. Check out taytopark.ie.
