Irish Youtube couple Anna and Jonathan Caccone-Joly announce devastating news about their miscarriage in emotional video
The Irish couple who rose to fame by sharing videos of their family life on Youtube have opened up to fans about their recent miscarriage.
In a video posted to their Youtube channel, Anna Saccone and her husband Jonathan Joly told fans that they discovered they had lost their baby on Wednesday. The couple titled the video ‘Everything Happens for a Reason’.
“Anna woke up with some bleeding, we called our consultant and he arranged a scan at the EPU (early pregnancy unit).
The couple were told that their baby had “stopped progressing as well as it should have around six week mark.”
Anna and Jonathan have two children Emilia (3) and Eduardo (2) and recently moved from Cork to Surrey to further develop their Youtube channel which has amassed 1.4m subscribers.
The success of the channel has allowed for the pair to place their full efforts into its development.
“When it first happened I was holding it together for Anna and for everyone else,” Jonathan reveals in the video posted yesterday.
“I was trying to be a good dad and a good family person, to try to keep everyone together...
“I just feel overwhelmed with emotion. I tried to process it but I didn’t want to believe.
“All I kept thinking was I love the kids and the best thing I’ve ever done in my entire life is be a dad and I really wanted to be a dad again.
“It’s stupid and I know we can go and have another baby again very shortly but I can’t help but think of that little squid.”
Grieving Anna also shared an image with her Snapchat followers of a hospital leaflet titled Coping With Pregnancy Loss.
The pair were flooded with messages from concerned fans and the hashtag #StayStrongSacconejolys trended on Twitter in Ireland.
“I like to think everything happens for a reason, I’ve always lived by this and will continue, thank you all for your support,” said Jonathan.
