Innocent capers & creepy stories

Glynn (10)

"I really enjoy sleep-overs. The planning is one of the best parts. We get really excited naming the things we will do, such as watching movies, telling jokes and creepy stories. I especially enjoy the good company.

"I like having pals stay at my house, but I prefer going to theirs as it's a change of scenery for me. We don't try to stay awake all night. When we get too tired to talk anymore, we agree that it's time for sleep and we stay quiet.

"Sometimes sleep-overs can bring disappointment. Look forward to it too much and you run the risk of being let down if your friend has to cancel. When that happens, all your arrangements go wrong and lots of time gets wasted. That hardly ever happens though, as usually everything goes ahead as planned."

"I had my first sleep-over a few months ago. It was at my house. We stayed up past my bedtime playing the Wii and doing stuff from my Magic Tricks Box. I put a fake bug on the toilet rim to scare my friend. That was cool.

"It was fun talking to each other in bed and making up scary stories to frighten each other. We felt a little tired the next day, but we weren't grumpy or anything."
