A 55-year-old granny has delivered all six of her daughter’s children.

Trusting your midwife is a hugely comforting factor during labour but Kent woman Charlott Howe went one step further and had her mother-in-law deliver each of her babies.

Midwife Virginia Howe (55) has delivered all six of her grandchildren throughout the last four years in Kent, England.

Luca (4), Jesse and Lex (3), Connie (2), Cody (1) and Zac, 3 months, were all born in their granny’s house as she supervised their births.

“Who knows, I might end up delivering my own grandchildren one day. Not many grandmothers can say that they even helped deliver one of their grandchildren – let alone all six,” said Virginia speaking to Mail Online.

“When Charlott told me she was pregnant, everyone assumed it was me who would deliver the baby. I was more than ready when Andrew phoned up and told me her labour had started.

“When I held Luca in my arms afterwards it was as a gran not a midwife. It was such an emotional moment,” she said.

The grandmother also delivered her daughter Sophie’s baby Jesse and her son Matthew’s son.

“I loved delivering all of my grandchildren. It has given me a special bond with all of them,” she said.

The midwife has recently released a book titled The Baby’s Coming.
