A treat for all ages

AS the autumn kicks in, it's nice to use vegetables with lovely autumnal hues such as red peppers and purple aubergines.

Babaganoush is a Mediterranean dish that is really healthy: the olive oil contains vitamin E and essential fatty acids, the peppers are full of vitamin A and the aubergine contains folic acid and potassium. Children from age one upwards will enjoy this recipe, which can be shared with older siblings for a healthy after-school or midafternoon snack (Serve it with triangles of toasted pitta bread.) Even parents will find it hard to resist! This dish can be easily made using the Béaba Babycook (above right, RRP x115), which is compact, easy to use and perfect for weaning children. You can even use it on the go by storing it in the new soft-shell Babycook Bag (above, RRP x29.95).
